Community Upliftment and AIDS
The Mohau Centre at Kalafong Hospital, Pretoria, South Africa, is committed to improving the lives of children infected and affected by HIV/AIDS or cancer. We lend our support to this Centre through regular financial contribution to the Friends of Mohau - a voluntary organisation, which is dedicated to improving the future prospects of the children at the Centre.
The Mohau Centre resides under Kalafong Hospital, a State run hospital in Atteridgeville, South Africa. Given stretched resources and in particular the extremely limited availability of AIDS drugs in South Africa due to costs, the hospital does what it can for these children in terms of basic nursing care. Symptomatic treatment is given on a reactive basis. |

The Friends of Mohau is a support group whose mission is to improve the life experience of these children and babies during their limited life-spans.
This group tries to ensure that Mohau’s “little ones” enjoy some of the basic human kindnesses that we, the healthy with homes take for granted – a little love, hugs and kisses and of course the celebration of special occasions like birthdays, Easter and Christmas.
Viewers to this site can assist in this effort by making direct donations to the Friends of Mohau, using the banking details provided.
