Negotiations have been concluded between Kashan and the Azania Youth Group, a not-for-profit, Section 21 Company, for the sponsorship of all marketing material for the Group by Kashan.
Azania Youth is headed up by Duke Malan, assisted by founding members Tsholo Mogale, Cyprian Molati, Lesiba Masoga and Tebogo Maphumulo. It is their intention to bring together the most dynamic and forward thinking high school students from around South Africa for week-long programmes focused on grooming future leaders for South Africa.
The programmes will cover areas such as Business; Social Security, Health, Poverty and Education; Law and Justice; Science, Technology and Engineering; the Role of the Media; International Relations and Diplomacy; and National Security and Peacekeeping.
Kashan’s Caro Heard believes that Azania Youth will play a vital role in promoting civic duty, community involvement and political awareness amongst the youth. It will also assist in bridging the gap between the youth and business and political leaders. Through planned international exchanges it will offer once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for youngsters to experience the world beyond South Africa’s borders.
Malan sees other spin-offs of the programme in that it could become a service provider to government and, through its international programmes could create awareness of South Africa’s tourism potential.
Kashan has agreed to fully sponsor the development of all marketing and promotional material for the Group, including the design and hosting of its website.
